May I ask what some of you do for a living?
Do you have hands on occupations where you have found the settings to be impractical?
How are they around kids?
Would you choose the setting you did if you had it to do over again or would you pick something more "durable"?
What kind of cleaning do you do and do you find it effective?
Have you ever lost a stone (in an ultrasound or other)?

I am a researcher but also have two infants and two dogs. I wear my pave w-band from Facets all day, everyday. And so far have not lost a stone. I also clean it in the u/s cleaner every few days and with a toothbrush in between.

It IS a low w-band however so that may contribute to it's durability for me. But I don't baby it and just assume that I will lose a stone every now and then and it'll need to go in for repair. No biggie.

As long as you are aware that you will occasionally lose a stone and are ok with that then I think you should get what you like even if it's pave.

One thing though-there IS a major difference between good quality pave and cheap pave, both in sparkle and durability. So make sure you get GOOD pave work.

Are Tacori and Ritani considered "good"? I know Tacori had some quality issues a few years ago - has that been resolved?

I have had the Tacori HT 2352 wedding set in platinum since February (bought for my anniversary--I'm not a newlywed). I don't wear my rings to my current 2-day-a-week job of preschool teaching only because I have to wash my hands 50 times a day and one thing I can't stand is water and soap under my rings and I'm not going to remove them just to wash my hands.

I am hunting for an office job and at my new job, I will wear my rings every day. I wear them now everywhere (except work and at home while doing housework) and have had no problems with the pave falling out. I am pretty careful with my jewelry in general but I have to say that I feel that the set is durable. I use the loupe that came with my diamond to inspect the ring periodically and have the ring cleaned at authorized Tacori jewelers. I don't own an ultrasonic or other cleaning devices.

I am very happy with my set and would not do anything differently if I had to do it again. The heaviness of the platinum took some getting used to as I went from wearing one yellow gold ring to wearing two platinum rings but I love the platinum. As far as kids go, try to avoid hitting your rings together too enthusiastically when clapping and cheering for your kid's team and you should be fine!

ETA: I too heard about quality issues with Tacori but I have had no problems. I would buy another Tacori in a heartbeat for a right hand ring if the budget allowed!

I apologize for thread-jacking, but Neverending, tell me about your baguette eternity band please. I looked for a SMTR thread on it, but couldn''t find one. It''s gorgeous! Can I see more pics?

No problem, tigian! Here is the link to my post: NeverEndingUpgrade finally ended

There are only 2-3 pretty bad photos in the post and you have to scroll down to see them. I've never gotten the photography thing down. The band is also shown on the Tacori site, but not the e-ring. Just put HT 2352 in the search box. There is a good photo of the ring on there. Thanks for the kind words about my ring. I really love it!

I am a teacher. I work all day long, cook, and do other various activities with my rings on... I have never lost a stone! (Yet
