Going on vacation in 2 weeks, so no time for custom beforehand.

can i get the tacori 2259 resized without issues?

i know this is probably a stupid question but which stone with ideal cuts, and similar other characteristics is basically going to sparkle more in the same situation?

Any other thoughts on tacori?

In second place is verragio eng-265 and eng 272? any thoughts on the brand.

thanks guys in advance!

Trying not to go nuts

How much are you resizing it? Do you have a picture of it or a link to a pic of it? Does it have diamonds on the band?

A well cut stone will sparkle a lot more over non well cut stones. Are you also looking for a stone?

I think my gf would be a 5.0-5.5, the standard ring comes in 6.5.

The 2259 comes in both full and half eternity, do you have a preference? Half eternity will be sizeable; full eternity is harder.

ETA: I was posting as you were; one size doesn't sound too bad, but hopefully others will chime in!

half is what i was thinking... full is a bit much.

Sizing issues with veraggio?
------------

What does the vendor say about sizing it? I would only feel okay if the vendor is okay sizing it and I would only feel okay sizing the one that has diamonds half ways. I think you probably are safe going 1 size down but I would check with the vendor.

I am not sure what you are saying on ideal cut diamonds? There are no stupid questions, ask away

Ideal cut stones are going to really sparkle and do make a difference.

Welcome to Pricescope by the way

ha ha.

that was actually a stupid question...

I forgot to say round vs. princess with similar cut, color, etc. characteristics which would sparkle more.

----------

the vendor was really concerned about sizing it, concerned that it might make the ring oval instead of round...

then he said we can probably send it back to tacori to resize, but that is 4-6 weeks. Is it even safe to do that with your own stone?

thanks for welcoming me, and for your assistance.

I''d only have Tacori resize it. Yes it''s safe with your stone. But not sure that will fit in your time frame. They do tend to take a while...

ditto...

Round brilliant may sparkle a little bit more than a Princess but both sparkle if they are well cut and shape is really personal preference. Do you have a center stone already?? Listen to Mrs. Salvo and Kaleigh on the sizing after seeing what they say I would have Tacori do it then. Which does your girl like better a princess or round?

The ring can be resized, but Tacori must be the one to size it to maintain the validity of their warranty and they will resize it up to two finger sizes without charge. Most Tacori rings can be resized by Tacori and any authorized Tacori dealer can assist you with sending the ring to Tacori for sizing - Tacori does not accept shipments direct from the public. It is important to note that there may be a sizing line within the crescent pattern of rings with the crescent pattern in the lower portion of the ring if the ring is not sized in full finger sizes - each crescent is equivalent to one finger size in the sizing process.

Thanks guys!

I am pretty much getting the tacori 2259. Will propose with the in-stock ring they had(hopefully it's not too small), and then send it back to tacori via the authorized retailer. Thanks for all your help!

Now I need to choose which diamond...

i'm posting that question in a new thread.

Thanks again.

I would really recommend ordering the ring from Tacori in her size and with a head for her size diamond. I wouldn't buy a wrong size stock Tacori. Get it made right in the first place.

Oh, and as far as the trip goes, get them to set your stone in an inexpensive white gold setting so she can wear it until her Tacori setting comes in. Did she pick out this Tacori setting? If not, I would absolutely wait and let her see it first. I love Tacori settings in general, but I realy dislike how high that stone is set and I am sure the majority of people here would tell you the same thing.

are you sure about here ring size? i only ask b/c I purchased a ring that was a 6 and it had to come down just over two sizes and b/c of the pave the designer wouldn''t size it. So I have to pay to have it remade. I don''t mind at all, but if you are trying to save money by purchasing the discounted tacori and they can''t size and have to remake you may end up spending a lot more $ than if you just purchased the ring and had it made in her size to begin with.

since time is such and issue, i agree with DS that you might consider proposing with a temp setting and letting her be involved in picking out the permanant one.

I agree. If you are payiing for Tacori, it should be a custom ring in her ring size and with the right size head for the stone. Propose with the stone in a temporary setting if you are in a rush, and then order the right size ring.

Also, I like Tacori rings, but the head on that one has the stone sitting really high, which to me is not attractive. Unless she picked that setting, I would show her a picture and see if she likes it before you order it. Maybe Tacori could trim down the prong length so the stone sits lower, as the rest of the ring is very pretty.
