If people would swallow drug-filled condoms for them to be passed out later, what is stopping someone from wrapping drug inside some toilet paper or whatever and disguise it as a tampon to escape detection?! :confused:

Therefore, personally, I do not believe it is unreasonable. If I were in a similar situation, I would probably inform the police I were using one and asked whether they would like to check it.

The article says that strip searches are NOT to include genitals. So, for an exception to the rules, I think they should at least have to provide solid evidence that they had serious enough reason for such an invasive search of someone who hadn't even been arrested.

It seems the type of search that would be done by female jail intake personnel, not male officers on the street. Apparently, this has been an ongoing issue there.
 
Misconduct clear and simple. No body cavities are to be searched in these cases. The people are not convicted felons in prison. They are free citizens.
