Ohh Just saw this :D

I was SO TEMPTED to get them pierced over the weekend... but I need to be patient

I think I''m going to wait the full 8 weeks which should be about March 6th.
I plan on going in and seeing what the piercer says about the scar tissue (real piercer, not a mall one).. and go from there!!

They are looking really good, are not tender any more, and I think it should be a Go! .. not this weekend, but next weekend!

And, I''m 90% sure I''ve found the diamonds I''m getting

Thanks for asking!!!

I knew it must be soon. I''m so excited for you! Are you scared it will hurt when you get them pierced?

Just a little.

The left ear will most likely be pierced completely through scar tissue, but the right ear scarred a little less and it might be able to be avoided!

Thankfully, I did not develop any keloids or scar tissue on the outside of the skin- it''s all on the inside- so they''ll look a little prettier!

I''ve been anticipating getting them done to the point where I have A TON of earrings now

the dangly ones I don''t wear (yet) but the stud ones I''ve been wearing in the back holes.
It''s not quite the same, but looks better than it did!

I think it''s time to post an updated picture of the lobes, lemme take a picture and I''ll brb.

I took these in our bathroom- which is green, so if my skin looks sickly, that''s probably why

Ooh they look great! Don''t scars fade to a whitish colour over time? You won''t even see them soon! Roll on the many different styles of earrings! Especially the diamond ones!

Yes they will fade more.. think they were a bit red because I was playing with them earlier (rubbing on the scar tissue to "break it up" as the doctor called it).

Not long till piercing day. I can''t wait to hear how you get on. Take someone to hold your hand! Remember those gorgeous earrings and be brave!

Whenever I have to go through things that cause pain, slight discomfort or anything like that, I like to remind myself of the end result, and pain goes away! (same for piercings, tattoos...)

I''ll make sure to post an update in a few weeks.. thanks again for asking Maisie!

boy that''s an improvement, s_b! it''s healed so quickly!

make *sure* you post shots when you get them pierced; it''s going to look lovely; you have really prettily shaped ears!

She does have pretty ears!

I am hoping to start my tattoo removal soon and I''m going to try and do what you do SB. Be brave and focus on the end result!

Aww you gals are so sweet

Let us know how the tatoo removal goes! I have one that I want to take off because it''s too hard to cover up for work

and the pink dye in it causes a skin rash on me often

back on track...can''t wait to see your new diamonds SB!

Don''t forget to put sunscreen on your ears as they''re healing - will help with the fading process =)

Looks like they''re healing nicely.

They do look like they're healing nicely!

Just one word of caution, which I'm sure you already know but I just feel the need to say anyway- when you're getting them re-pierced please go to someone who knows how to pierce over scar tissue!

A friend got her navel done, it migrated and ripped out and left a scar that some idiot at the mall tried to just pierce over - apparently it hurt for days!
