I''ve been looking at wedding bands. I have a Scott Kay e-ring with a "surprise diamond" that sits very low. I don''t want to solder the rings together after we are married, as I''m pretty active and want to be able to just wear my band at times. any suggestions?
I do find that the bezel band is a little too slim for my tastes to wear alone, so I''ll often pair it with a plain knife edge band when I don''t wear my solitaire. What styles are you thinking of?
Ah. I haven''t had any problems so far. As long as the metals are the same, and unless your surprise stone sticks out farther than normal, I think you''ll be okay. You might have a problem if you go for a band where the side of the diamonds is exposed (one of the reasons I went with the bezels).
I have a similar set. You can see about 1/2 of my surprise diamond above the band (my ring is set very low, so you can''t see the whole thing).. Since my band is bezel-set, I don''t have a problem with rubbing. The 2 rings also tend to separate on my finger with normal activity. However, I would certainly be concerned about a shared-prong band or other method of setting that allows the side of the diamond to stick out. Bezel is probably the safest for this.
