Dude227, it''s so nice that you tried so hard to get the right stone and setting. Best of luck to you. When do you think you''ll have the finished product? And I hope you plan on posting pictures!Date: 5/16/2007 7:03:18 PM

Well, the process was easy relative to dealing with Excel and RocDoc once I decided on a hearts and arrows ideal cut round diamond. Don''t worry, I struggled with carat/color/clarity tradeoffs trying to maximize what would be acceptable to my girlfriend without having the benefit of asking her (trying to keep it somewhat of a surprise), and picking a setting that was unique and delicate looking (I feel like the setting can make or break the ring, regardless of what diamond you choose). I seriously lost sleep at night worrying that I would choose the wrong one. This is the biggest purchase of my life outside of my condo (I don''t even own a car), and I definitely don''t want to have any regrets, and most importantly, if I am spending that kind of money, I want my girlfriend to love it unequivocally!
So no, I wouldn''t say the process was that ''easy,'' ha...
I was told 8-10 weeks for the setting, so I figure it will take a little longer.Date: 5/16/2007 11:38:36 PM

Not sure where you''re reading...though I think on this...they''re perhaps more straightforward than some other vendors.
