Super Ideal Rounds

Some people are very near sighted. I am not sure that this necessarily means they are not far sighted too. But if you can focus much closer than about 10 inches (the 'least distance of distinct vision' according to the field of optometry), then you are on the nearsighted part of the spectrum. We sometimes have customers that can focus at 4" ! Such people can see inclusions with their naked eye that the vast majority of us cannot.

Most younger people <late 30s will be able to focus reasonably close until they become presbyopic, and lose the natural focusing ability due to a stiffer lens. If you are long sighted this process happens sooner, but I'd expect a young low hypermetrope (long sighted of +2 dioptres) or so, still be able to manage focus within 7 inches if they really went for it. Myopes retain the ability to see at short focal range even after presbyopia sets in, without reading glasses.

AFAIK there's nothing that can be done to stop the hardening of the lens, is there? (Nothing to take, for example?)

I know they can replace the lens (like the do in cataract removal surgery) but that's quite a step just to not wear glasses! lol (and does it mean the lens stays pliable??)

Unfortunately no sure way at this moment in time, some life style choices can help reduce the rate, such as, good diabetic control, reduce smoking etc. I believe there are some early research projects looking into this.

The lens is replaced in cataract surgery and can only focus at 1 focal length, either you aim to be clear for distance and need reading glasses, or clear for near, and need distance glasses. You can get 'multifocal' lens implants but they are not pliable and do have their compromises.

So after exhausting myself with searches, I've narrowed it down to two diamonds I came across and kept in my mind for the past few days.

Both are from WF, and I believe this is my best bet because like some above said, I do plan on upgrading eventually most likely and WF has the best trade up deal there is.

Both diamonds appear to be eye clean, both are the same size, cut grade, and color, with only difference being one clarity is SI1 and one is VS2.

Let me know what you think:

Both look similar to my eyes - I think it will be whichever appeals to your heart more!

I like the ACA. I'd just confirm with WF that it's eye clean to your standards
