I know there's another related thread on latest reads, but I thought I'd angle this one more towards relaxing, summer day, beach reads. What's on your list?

Some authors that I enjoy reading have books coming out. They are:

Emily Giffin: Heart of the Matter
Janet Evanovch: Sizzling Sixteen
John Grisham: Theodore Boone, Kid Lawyer
Nora Roberts: the books in the Bride Quartet series

Also:
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth ? (Tacori recommended this one.)

I know there are others but I can't think of them right now.

Some authors that I enjoy reading have books coming out. They are:

Emily Giffin: Heart of the Matter - Just read this 2 days ago, I''ve been waiting for it to come out since last year, and I wasn''t disappointed!

John Grisham: Theodore Boone, Kid Lawyer - I have read almost all of Grisham''s books, but admittedly haven''t been keeping up with his "newer" books (after he strayed from the law-type books). I hadn''t heard of this one, but according to Google, it''s a young adults book?

Nora Roberts: the books in the Bride Quartet series - Read Vision in White a few weeks ago - it was my first Nora Roberts book ever, and I plan to read the rest of the series
I have recently read 2 (older) James Patterson books (Honeymoon and The Quickie). These were my first Patterson books, and I have requested more from the library (they deliver them to your house).

I also recently read all 3 of the "Joe Dillard" series from Scott Pratt (An Innocent Client, In Good Faith and Injustice For All). I liked them a lot, and am actually buying them for my mom for her birthday this month (she''s also a Grisham reader, and I think she''ll enjoy these).

I''m thinking after Wuthering Heights it is time for the annual reading of Watership Down. I also want to re read my favorite series, but I feel guilty doing so when I have so much other stuff to read.

I''m waiting for the new Karin Slaughter book to come out... or maybe it already has? I''m also going to read the new Lee Child book- 61 Hours.

I''m reading the new Iris Johansen (couldn''t tell you the title right now if my life depended on it).

I''d also like to read the new Janet Evanovich book... didn''t realize a new one was coming. I love those books. They''re literary junk food and I eat.it.up.

Oh, and meant to tell you.... I read The Help last fall and LOVED IT. It''s really great.

I read Emily Giffin''s book...it was OK, but I didn''t love it. Still, it''s easy reading.

I started Outlander yesterday. And I plan on reading World Without End this summer.

I received Chelsea Handler''s Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang for my birthday and am sort of struggling to get through it, but it''s definitely a fluffy summer read. I liked her so much more when she was on Girls Behaving Badly...but she''s still pretty funny.

Carl Hiaasen''s newer books are some I''ve been meaning to catch up on--he writes great fiction set in Florida. The movie Striptease with Demi Moore was based on his book, and more recently the young adult movie Hoot, also based on his book of the same title. Funny and sarcastic stuff.

Finished Outlander.

Y.A.W.N.

I found it tedious...should have stuck with my gut instinct after reading the sample and concluded it wasn''t for me.

I'm STILL reading The Help. I put it down when we had company at the beginning of July, and I haven't picked it back up since. I liked it but I just got out of the habit of reading it. I need to finish it in the next few weeks though.

I finally read The Other Boleyn Girl while on vacation and thoroughly enjoyed it.
