Suit for the Bride???

Hey ladies...I figure if anyone can help me with this, you all can!!!

One of my good friends from college just got engaged, and she''s not the girliest of girls. I off-hand commented that I totally see her as a winter white suit bride (ala Carrie Bradshaw in SATC) with a birdcage veil and she JUMPED on it! Well, now I''m trying to track down a suit similar to the Vintage Dior Carrie wears at the end of the movie (picture below). Any idea where I might be able to find this...well, at least a replica/remake/knock off???

I *love* that suit. I read this thread this morning and have been thinking about it all day! I''ve managed to find a small pattern for the suit...not that in depth but may be of some use if your friend wanted to get it made somewhere?

Parsley, I can''t believe you found that pattern!!! (And I lol-ed at the carried away comment!) My friend totally sews her own clothing and would probably be head-over-heels into making her wedding suit! I''ll be sure to send that to her right away!!!

princesss: those are also lovely alternatives, and I''ll be sure she checks them out...I think a cocktail-length sheath dress might have a similar effect as a suit!

audball: I love love love that website! I think the suits and dresses offered are out of my friend''s price range, but it''s definitely the perfect place for inspiration!!!
