Hello, i had a thread before discussing a few options for tennis necklace but looks like it has been closed, so I am starting a new one again. After such a long time, lotsa discussion back and forth and now finally I decided to go for it. Here is the option proposed by my jeweler. What do you think about it? I am wondering if I should reduce the 0.30 to only 5, then add a few 0.25, then 0.20, 0.15, 0.10 and so on. The proposed option has too many 0.20ct. Any suggestions?

Lastly the certification which is always my problem should i bother with GIA or just get IGI for the whole necklace?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you

Welcome back! I remember your previous threads!

I agree I would want a more gradual transition from 30 to 25 and then to 20pts etc. A difference of 0.2mm is usually pretty difficult to see by the naked eye. So if you can have each drop down be 0.2mm I think it'll make a smooth, more gradual transition. It would definitely be my preference.

Alternately you can try sizing up the centre a bit more and compensating by making the back stones smaller, and going for a dramatic graduated look.

At a max size of 30pts per stone I really would not go for GIA certification, it would add a huge amount to the final total imo, because I'm not sure GIA does a finished jewellery certificate so if you get each stone individually certified it adds up. Also I'm not sure what is the minimum size for a GIA cert for a stone - I think its about 23pts? So I'm not sure if you actually can get them all certified.
