Stupid Virus... =(

So I guess my computer got this stupid virus that's using my name sending out e-mails to everyone...
So a warning, #1 if you get a group e-mail which the topic is your friend's name and the message is only a link, don't click!
warning #2 Norton 360 is useless which I'm sure most of you guys already knew..../sigh

Thanks for the warning. I have Norton 360 and it seems to work great but I am *very* careful about what I open. Norton had an update a few days ago. Did you downlaod it yet? Sorry to hear you are having trouble with it--bummer!

1. firefox or chrome, not IE
2. make sure that no other antivirus stuff is running - disable windows firewall, uninstall McAfee, etc. Might seem like a better thing to have two or more up, double-protection, but they actually work against each other rather than with each other - you don't want two live antivirus systems
3. run a "full" "deep" system scan w/ Norton in safe mode (liveupdate until it says all recent updates installed first)
