Stuller solstice owners out there...

Stuller recommends that for my 1.76 carat diamond, that I use a 1.75 carat head, rather than a 2 carat head for the solstice, but I like the extra space around the diamond, when it is set into the prongs. My diamond measure about 7.7.I like being able to see almost to the bottom of the stone once it is set. Does anyone have a Stuller solstice with a diamond smaller than the head? I am just worried that it will look crammed into the head with the 1.75 c head. I want the diamond to really stand out, look BIG, not smaller, any suggestions/advice? Any recommendations from any vendors out there selling the solstice style. I know once it is bought it cannot be returned, and I want to make sure I order the correct size head. Thanks

Anyone else? The saleslady at the store is trying to tell me to go with the 1.75 head, rather than the 2carat head, or "adjustments will have to be made to the prongs, and I might not be happy with the outcome". Not sure what route to go!
