stud help please!

Hi all,

Considering purchasing a pair of diamond studs within the next couple of months....I have a big b-day coming up in September, plus its MH and I's 1-yr anniversary around the same time....so I need something to mark the occasion(s)!!! I have always wanted a pair of stud earrings...so I think that's what I am going for. I have done some preliminary research, but I am not 100% sure of what I should be looking for as far as selecting the best stones for the $$. My preferences are: approx. (give or take) 1.5 tcw, great cut, G-I color, (as long as I dont see any yellow), and I would definitely be willing to drop down to SI1-2 clarity, as long as they were mostly eyeclean....My budget is
+/- 4k, including everthing (I plan on setting the stones in WG martinis).

So, if anyone can give some advice as to what I should be looking for, or even has suggestions for specific stones, please let me know. Also, during my search, I came across these stones from JA: How do they look?

Dani, I don''t really love those stones. I''d want diameter and table measurements to be close. I also don''t like the 32 crown angle on the one considered ideal. I have found it easiest to find matched pairs at WF since they try to cut their stones with pretty tight parameters. But I had to wait a few months until my perfect pair came in.
