stud 2nd pair size

Hi all. I currently have a pair of 1.26 ctw diamond stud earrings and am looking for another pair (and want to get second holes). Trying to decide if I should get a smaller pair or a larger pair. I''d wear the smaller pair up higher on my ears. Anyway, anyone have any advice or thoughts? I have fairly small ears, but could go larger in size if it would look better. TIA!

I'd definitely go smaller; 1.26 in higher second holes is way too much as a rule. I didn't even like wearing my 1.10 ctw in my second holes; just didn't look right.

I wore the 1.10 ctw in my primary holes and went smaller for the second pair; I found that .32 ctw studs in my second holes was a nicely balanced look.

I agree with Alj. I think it would look better with smaller earrings for your second holes.

I think smaller as well. I''d probably go with something half the size of the current stones or less to keep the look balanced.

My first pair of studs was .89 tcw and I recently upgraded to 1.47 tcw. I kept one of the first studs (.45) to wear in my second hole (I only have a double piercing in one ear), and I think it looks great, but personally I wouldn''t want to go any bigger there.

I also have a beautiful H&A Baby Bling (.17) and he''s darling, but as you all know I am sick sick sick and he just seems *SO darn small* these days!!!

I had about that same size as my first "baby gift from DH and decided I wanted bigger ones recently.
Instead of upgrading them, we just bought a new pair of about 2 cttw - 1 crt/ear and I moved the smaller ones up.
Had no idea I may look silly!
