Can you post a larger image?

From the numbers, I prefer the AGS stone.

The second looks better but its hard to tell from the images as they aren''t that clear.

I prefer the second diamond, for both image and numbers. (pending enlargement of IS pics)

Reposting-- this is the 1.03 GIA

This is the 1.05 AGS. Do you still think this is better? Why?

Thanks for everyone''s replies.

Both IS look good to me.

Thanks stone cold.

Why did you originally prefer the AGS diamond? Also, do you not think the light return and scintillation is a bit better on the AGS stone?

Also, why does in not score <2 on HCA if its an AGS "0"?

Thanks for your reply.

There appears to be leakage in the enlarged first image probably due to the angle combo in this case, personally I prefer the second, even though the angle combo is similar there does not appear to be so much leakage.

Do you know why this score 2.3 on the HCA despite being an AGS triple ideal 0?

HCA only uses 4 input for it's output. So it is a rejection tool and tends to be on the safe side. AGS does the simulation on the entire stone's proportion, so more accurate.

A larger HCA score coupled with a larger lower girdle facet and good optical symm can prevent leakage of stone cut to score of 2-4.

In this case probably because the angles are hovering around the steep deep zone, you will start to see lower scores for steep deep angles on the HCA as leakage is often the byproduct. However images trump the HCA and this image shows minimal leakage which is the main thing. Also always insist on images regardless as other aspects of the diamond such as lower girdle facets being longer etc will not always save a steep deep diamond from leakage.

Hi nik if it helps my diamond almost matches the stats of your first pick and it looks darn sparkly and brilliant to me

Mine has depth 61.9, CA 35.2, P 40.9 HCA-2.5 the rest of the #''s were the same.
