So this girl had this earrings posted as 1.7 cttw brillian cuts, I told her that they looked like old mine cuts, so she agreed to have them checked out with her jeweler. Now she said the jeweler increased the weight on them and told her they are early brilliant cuts, but she has taken it upon herself to call them old European cuts. I tried to talk to her an explain they are definitely old miners, but she insists they are old Europeans ( I guess because she knows the value is higher) just lol. I directed her to pricescope to educate herself but she got upset.
Please tell me I'm not crazy and these are old miners.

Rant over.

I would say they are old miners. But they are hers. She is the one who you have to convince not us.

I wouldn't waste your time. People label items the wrong thing all the time. She wants to call them Old Euros so she has. If a buyer's jeweller says they are Old Miners she's the one who will have to deal with an Item Not as Described case on ebay or paypal. Your work there is done!

^I agree with Rhea, you've already brought it to her attention and so I don't think you should worry about it anymore.

EBay items are notoriously misrepresented. It's not your job to monitor and/or correct her listing (even though you may be right =) ). I agree that it can be frustrating when you encounter these sorts of issues on EBay, but I wouldn't waste any more of your time on it. The earrings sound lovely though :D
