Do you happen to know the carat of the marquise, or at least the dimensions?

It looks like somewhere between a 10x5mm and 12x6, but I can''t tell.

I am having greenlakes design a very similar ring for my fiancee, and it would help me to know.

Here is a chart which may help give you an estimate, can you get the jeweller to weigh the diamond?

Going by the chart and the dimensions you posted, it appears this diamond could be anywhere between 1 or 2 carats...
