First of all, a huge, hearty thank you to all the PS members on here who assisted me in not only finding the right diamond, but helping me understand what it is I should be looking for. Two weeks ago, i literally did not know the first thing when it came to diamonds ... and today, I can proudly say that I've found a gem (excuse the pun) and look forward to receiving my order from WhiteFlash soon.
On that note, I also want to tip my hat to the folks at WhiteFlash, and in particular my saleswoman Victoria, who, despite being 8 months pregnant, took the time to speak with me, educate me and help me think things through. She was always patient, never pushy and was very forthcoming with her honest opinions.
So now onto what you all clicked this topic to find out: what the heck did I end up getting ?? Here goes:

I came across this wonderful 1-SI1 1.2 ct stone at a very reasonable price. After investigating it with WhiteFlash further, I was very happy to hear that it was a very well cut stone with no visible inclusions, and with Victoria's help in walking through and understanding the images, I felt the same way. I had a lot of back and forth on the stone, as well all do ... I was wondering whether it was the right size, whether I should move up a grade/grades in colour and clarity at the expense of size, etc. I finally decided on this one not only because it seemed to be a great stone, but it was also excellent value !

I actually didn't have much back and forth on the setting. I had a picture in my mind of what the ideal setting would look like and had it narrowed down to a few pretty quickly. I actually opted to purchase my stone from WhiteFlash since I seemed to like their settings more than the ones I had found at other vendors, and ended up settling on this classic.
I hope it looks fantastic together. And now, the countdown begins .... !
