In two days, I''m supposed to get my new ring, which will have a 1.12 center stone and two 1/3 carat side stones. I''m pretty fussy (ANAL??!!) fellow. For example, I usually take my ring off before washing my hands to avoid getting soap on the stone. I would never use hand lotion with my ring on my finger. And when I get home, I typically dip a toothbrush in jewelry cleaner and use it on my ring, rinse and put it away. Ocassionaly, I take my ring into the jeweler (my new ring will be platinum) and have the ring steam cleaned and then polished.

I''ve seen ads for the JetClean Steam Cleaner. It''s $99, which when compared to an ultrasonic, seems reasonable. I''m just wondering if anyone has purchased one of the JetClean machines and what your experience has been?

Thanks
Rod

Have it. Love it!

I have the Sharper Image ultrasonic cleaner, too... and I tell you, after a run through that, and a steam jet "dry" -- my diamond just *GLOWS*! It''s amazing.

So yes, I think the jet steamer is a GREAT gadget. I say, go for it!!!

Thanks for the reply Lynn. I''ll just have to order one immediately. One other question though. Did you order it on-line, or was there a store you bought it from?

I got mine online, from Brian Knox Jewelers. Here's the link:

Jet Steamer

PS Edited to add... hmmm, the link doesn't work? I don't know why. I tried searching Brian's website for the steamer and couldn't find it. ??? But I see they are closed till 1/10/06 anyway. FWIW, here's the toll-free telephone number: 1-888-347-4493

PPS I know that Wink Jones also sells the same steamer, Rod!
