Ok all here's a summary of the diamond at my fingertips:

1.02 G, SI1 GIA Triple Ex Round Brilliant

No fluorescence, no culet.

Table 57%
Depth 61.8%
CA 34.5%
PA 40.8%
Girdle Med-Stk
6.43 - 6.47 x 3.99mm

These measurements all fall within Lorelei's recommendations, and score a 1.4 on the HCA. Based on my homework, including the input from several PS members here, this is a solid basis for further consideration.

Images attached were sent with the following notes:

"Attached is a few images of the diamond you picked. The first one is an image of the diamond at a slight angle so you can see the inclusion. Its at the top but the angle is making it reflect at the bottom of the image as well.

There are also some ideal scope images to show how nice the symmetry of the diamond is."

Your input is much appreciated, thank you!!

Also, according to the rep they have classified it as eye clean. Obviously this isn't bulletproof, but it helps.

Any input, please! :wall: haha

Looks perfect. No concerns about cut whatsoever.

If it is eye clean, you should be go to go!

Thank you for your input!

My only fear at this point is that, with the cert showing so few total inclusions, the inclusions that ARE present will be noticeable to the eye. Unless I'm missing something, buying this stone from BN to check it myself is the only/last option.

Wish me luck!

It's a beauty and it appears the ' cheat sheet' did a good job for you!!! Just check it is eye clean to your specifications and that the cloud inclusion mentioned on the report isn't causing any loss of brilliance issues, if those check out you should be golden!

Hi OP, so BN was able to give you ASET and hearts and arrows images? Is that new or only on Signature line? If so. good to know.

The stone I have purchased is not the Signature series. However, when I called to ask a few questions their rep told me that she has some images etc on hand. I requested that she email them to me, and voila.

I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence or part of a new direction for BN.

I am not sure if the images are from BN's lab service provider (who have DiBox), or they could be from the manufacturer who supplied the stone.
They are DiBox images from a project that my partners and I have worked on for some time and in the past several months a lot of manufacturers and some Pricescope vendors have installed.
We hope it heralds a new level of information and QC for diamond buyers, both B2C and B2B.
The system saves time and has a high level of repeatability.
You can learn more about it here

And the killer application will be http://www.lexusindia.in/products/gb-ViBOX.aspx which will bring 3D stereo movies to the diamond world - everyone who has seen 3D gets it.

Excellent, Garry! :appl:

Very cool!

So I have spoken to a BN rep who explained their definition of Eye-Clean as it relates to this stone...

From 10 inches, top view, no inclusions are visible. If scrutinized from closer or from different angles, it may be possible to see.

My only real option is to consider their Signature kind, which at SI1 is eye clean even under scrutiny, or to move up to VS2. Regardless, that's a $1200 bump up that I'd rather avoid.

I am going it purchase the stone and decide for myself. Will update...
