Stats on this Craig''s List asscher.

I found this asscher on the local craigs list for $3,000. It is a 1.03 carats, Measurements: 6.0.X 5.75 X 3.52 MM, Clarity: VS1 , Color: H, Finish:good

What about these numbers on it?

If I knew I''d have posted but I don''t know a whole lot about the technical side of diamonds. And asschers are even more complicated than your average round brilliant. Have you compaired it with any other asschers on the PS search thingy? Thats what I would do. Then if it seemed good I''d try and get the price reduced.

That Asscher has a really big table. The thing with Asschers it that you really need to see it in person.

I did this search. It seems to be about the same price you would pay if you bought it from one of the vendors here on PS.

In my opinion if it turned out to be a really great stone and you could pay like $2000 then maybe it would be a deal ( depending on the stone).

I have heard that the dealers that buy stones second hand pay about 1/3 the stones retail value. Not saying that thats what you should pay but thats probably the type of offer he/ she is getting from people answering the CL post.

And thanks Storm, you know how much we all value your opinion (and are in awe of you). The cert is by IGI. I was going to go have a look at it tonight but I gave into this cold I have and put it off. Maybe this weekend.

It could be fun if I could get it at a good price. I do so dislike large tables, though.
