I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with this setting and my heart is set on flush stacking (one above and one below) wedding bands with it. The problem with the flush fit is with the head sitting so low, a wedding band (or 2) will not sit flush.

The width of the band/shank is 1.5mm and the bands that I would be considering would also be 1.5mm (each) to equal a band width total of 4.5mm. Not sure who posted the great advice but I do remember than when stacking (above and below setting) the total band width should be equal or less than the stone length or head length. Since I am considering a stone length btwn 6.5mm and 7.5mm, the total band (erring, 2 bands) width of 4.5mm is WELL within (below) the “desired” less than range.

SO, what is the solution to a flush fit band?

- I was told (by a friend who has stackers) to order the setting a half size larger and the wedding bands the correct size. This way the bands will sit under the head and flush with the e-ring shank/band.

- Add a small bridge below the head. If done, than the shoulders will have to be altered to connect to the halo rather than below the head.

- Have the wedding bands soldered to the e-ring? (Not even a consideration. No way, No how!).

Given the above scenarios, what you advise and select?

Thanks so much!
