Square Radiant vs Princess of Hearts..please help a newbie!

Hi there!

This is my first post but I have been a fan of this site for months now. It is such a great resource with fantastic contributors!
So, my boyfriend and I are, after 6 yrs., finally designing our engagemnet ring and I''m so thrilled
We are trying to emulate Tiffany''s Lucida with a few subtle differences and have basically narrowed our search to two stones. Can you please offer some input on the following specs?

#1) Princess of Hearts 1.86 carat, I, SI1, 7.15mm x 7.13mm, eye clean. $17,900 (CDN) These are the only measurements I have for this stone but I have seen it twice in person. It is truly magnificent and sparkles like nothing else we have seen thus far!

#2) Square Radiant 2.18 carat, H, VS1, 7.28mm X 7.04mm x 5.28, girdle- ex. thin, total depth-75%, table width 71%, crown height 13%, pavilion depth 60%. $18,100 (CDN)

I had pretty much decided on the POH but received an email today from our other jeweler stating that he had located the second stone from his supplier in Europe. He runs a well respected, 91 yr. old family run business that has dealt with this particular supplier for 40+ yrs. and they state the diamond is really beautiful.

Both of these stones work with our budget.. can anyone offer their opinion on these two stones?

I expect that once you see them side by side, you''ll know rather quickly which one you prefer.

PoH is a H&A brand, the other is a generic, if that matters. If you can't see number two and you have to only choose one I'd suggest that unless you really, really trust your jeweler to have your best interests at heart you make sure they have a really really good return policy.

I wish I could see them side by side but they are from different jewelers. If we bring the stone in from Europe we will make sure the return policy is foolproof
