Square Diamond Search

Hopefully you’ll have a great experience with him. We looked in NYC, Aspen, Internet & Houston and ended up with Ronnie and since then have become loyal customers for special occasions. Now if you need a vintage watch man let me know that as well. We have the very best hook up for unique pieces!!

As Rockysalamander said, Octavia's designer Karl K should answer your question but I think his Octavia cut 'recipe' is for the Index of Refraction of natural diamond.
Other stones have different RI, so would require the dimensions be changed.
I doubt that's free, and don't know it it is even possible or would work.

I've noticed Karl posting here on Rocky Talk, but rarely, if ever, on the Colored Stones forum.

Karl, are your here?
Hey Kenny yep im here. It is awesome to see you again!!!
This is a complex thread for board rules reasons so im going to leave most of it until morning when im more awake.
At this time octavia is only being cut in diamond by special order.
I once figured out the angles for ruby/sapphire but it was never cut. The OctaCZ has also been discontinued.

I hope that helps and I will read through again tomorrow and see where I can help with in the rules.

I have a square emerald stone that I bought from a local (Houston) diamond supplier. He had come across a custom handmade ring just hours prior to my visit. The previous owner was the wife of a well known local jewelry house that had passed away. She could not wear the ring anymore and as luck would have it...it’s now mine. I had an appointment to see BGD that afternoon but knew right away I had to have the ring. I too did not want to wait as I was looking for a stone in the 5+ range.
I went in with an open mind to just fall in love with the stone and not papers. I have a 6.33 carat center stone, H/VS1 and it is beyond lovely. If you’re in Houston, I’ll gladly share his contact info as he is incredibly well connected not in just loose stones but estate pieces as well. I bought my diamond studs & diamond bracelet from him and also had him make my wedding bands.
Not a day goes by without someone telling me how gorgeous my ring is and yet not once has anyone ever asked the color, grade, etc. (They have asked the size)!!
With that being said, I didn’t have much of a budget and could have gone higher in color, clarity, etc. but when I saw the fire in this stone and setting I fell in love and it was absolutely the right choice.
Hope you find what you’re looking for and let me know if you’d like our diamond dealer’s information!
Wow, that is lovely

Paging @Matthews1127 for the eye-candy ;)

I hit contact seller...but I just now sent an email! Sorry. Operator Error!
I mean no disrespect, honestly. But, why not post the name and contact for the seller for all? The person is in business and would probably love to get some mentions her on PS. So many small business struggling out there and adding their name to this thread might help both to drive traffic and to allow anyone with other experiences with this seller to post their thoughts. Sometimes, personality and style are critical to consider for buyers.

I too mean no disrespect, honestly.
I didn’t know we could...thought there might be a rule against it and wanted to be on the safe side. I was also disclosing mine and my husband’s names as well as offering to give prices I paid so it is somewhat sensitive information although I’m happy to share what I paid for those wanting to compare. I wanted to be safe on a personal side as I don’t think one can be too safe when it comes to personal info such as economics, my name, where I live, etc. so please pardon me for just trying to protect myself even if it is feebily as there is so much readily information out there I’m sure! (This is not said in a harsh tone at all but may read that way without any intention)!
Ronnie is always a pleasure to work with & I am sure he would be happy for more business so it is my pleasure to post his information.
Call ahead for an appointment. He has a receptionist but also his assistant’s name is Jackie. It would be good to speak to her and let her know what you’re looking for. I have Ronnie’s cell but feel like that would be his to give. I loved that he had so many really great stones to look at but also gets the occasional estate piece. He can also make anything your mind can think of or your heart can dream of! Good luck.
