This little nest is in a bush beside our driveway. The Robins seem to like this spot, they build one every year in the same crook of a branch. It's about waist height, so very easy to photograph...

So sweet - those eggs are so blue - just beautiful!

Just when I thought there would never be a thread as good as Kenny's shrimplets, Losty arrives with Baby robins.

Please keep taking photos Losty and keep us posted on your family of baby robins.

How wonderful!

Sweet. I am glad to hear spring is somewhere out there.

OMG, how precious is that! And look, those eggs are Tiffany Box blue!

amazing photos! I remember finding a baby robin in my backyard (complete with a broken shell and no mama bird anywhere in sight for the whole day) when I was a little kid - we brought it inside and tried to keep it alive but it died

Awww that is so precious. That is awesome that you are able to take such awesome pictures of them. Please keep the pictures coming so we can see a little more. I cant wait until they are all hatched and and actually have some feathers to speak of. Their little mouths are wide open. Reminds me of babies that open their mouths as you try yo feed them.

I felt so bad when the flash went off. Prior to that, they were just sleeping. No sound from them yet, but yikes those beaks open wide!

It''s barely 6:30 am and this is the first thing I looked at this morning. How wonderful Losty to see another baby emerging from the shell.

Maybe you could get a shot of Mum and Dad at some point, but don''t spook them.

Do they re-use the same nest or build a new one every year?

Mum spooks very easily and takes off the minute I open the side door of the house.

They build a new next in exactly the same spot every year. Last year there were 4 fledglings.

And just for Miz Gailey, here's the little Mourning Dove's nest with 2 fledglings. I haven't been able to watch these hatch as the mother refuses to leave the nest! But today for some reason, she took off and I got in with my camera.

LS

ETA oops, don't know where the pic went. Let me try again...

NO! There's lots out there already! But I'll keep taking pics until they're all hatched and feathered.

How many tonight Losty? Is it still 3? Did all the eggs hatch last year and all babies survive?

So far, 3 hatched and 2 eggs left. One of the eggs has a crack in it. I''ll check it early tomorrow.

Last year, we had 4 eggs and 4 fledglings. Usually, there''s 3 in a robins'' nest, I think. FIVE seems like this Mum is an over-achiever!

Count me in for the webcam!!!! I''m loving this so much!!!!
