i have a split shank similar to this on my ering and i plan on getting a simple eternity band to wear with my ring. I think it really depends on how long your shank is and at what point it starts to curve...

It''s all about personal preference. I prefer a split shank without a wedding band, because it looks like 2 bands already, and the shape makes it difficult for a band to sit flush.

Ditto here. It's really a matter of personal preference. I actually had my diamond reset into a split shank and wear it alone.

ETA: I used to have a solitaire worn with a plain band.

Hmm. I always think of those as ''stand alone''. You could probably wear a wedding band with it if you really wanted to

I''m not a matchy matchy kind of girl at all, and I do wear a wedding band w/ my split shank and loooooove it. Of course, it looks great alone. But it also looks great w/ my band too. It absolutely does not sit flush, but I don''t like flush personally. I want it to look like two rings. There are pictures around including my wedding band.

Here''s the only shot I have on this computer..
