Split prong too much for .68ct Stone?

The stone is a .68 5.5 x 5.3 cushion stone. Would a split prong mount be too much?

Yes, there won''t be any split really. I have seen the look where the stone in its basket sits in between two diamond bands though. That might work. Not much room for a wedding band though...

split prongs would be perfect specially the small claw type.
im sure someone can dig up a photo for you.

I think a split prong would help "square" the stone quite nicely.
