I was just posting about a re-gifted stove top espresso maker, which made me think that I really should give a shout out to our new electronic espresso maker. We got it for free through some coupons with a Bloomingdale''s promotion when we went to complete some of our registry. We got the ''bottom of the line'' version - which means it doesn''t make toast or wash your floors, and you have to press a button to make it stop the espresso-flow (big whoop) and I think the retail price is $180 or something.

Anyway, we are in LOVE with this machine. We are some pretty fussy espresso drinkers. We have both lived in Italy, and have very high standards. I''ve never tasted home-made espresso that was any good at all before, no matter how fancy and expensive the machine, but this thing is AWESOME. And it hardly takes up any counter space either. It uses capsules - and they''re a bit pricey - but it makes it a no-brainer to make the stuff, plus there''s no clean-up, and it''s still way less expensive than DH buying 10 espressos a day at the coffee shop downstairs.

So, big shout out for the ''Nespresso'' espresso maker. Put it on your registries, ladies! Coffee joy.

Ohhhhh I LOVE the Nespresso makers!! We have it on our registry too - we got the one up from the bottom (the automatic version - 240 cdn). I can''t WAIT to get it! There is a Nespresso booth in our local department store and they will let you test them all for free, and I fell in love. You can''t beat the convenience, and it makes totally amazing, consistent shots of espresso.

We also registered for the milk frother - the one that you just press the button and voila!

Did you get that too? Seriously - it made PERFECT cappucinos and lattes!!

Glad you like it too. Perfect cup, every time!

We got a milk frother in our re-gifted espresso set and it's AWESOME!

great machines! it''s a bit of a partnership with DeLonghi, which is a fantastic brand. highly recommend any of the super automatic machines, for the real coffee hounds in your lives. with the push of a button you can have espresso, regular coffee, and if you pop the removable milk carafe in, a cappuccino or latte! pretty great!
