I don''t know for sure, but fay cullen might be a good choice. I don''t like their diamond policies, but I *love* their settings! I think it''s www.faycullen.com and I would *think* she''d sell them without a stone.. but I don''t know.Date: 9/14/2006 11:55:56 AM

I have a nice, .85 ct RB that throws a ton of fire, but is in a YG, Tiffany style mount. What I would prefer is to put the stone into a vintage piece. Any ideas of good places to look for empty settings?

I''m always on the lookout for vintage mountings...have been for years...and I''ve discovered they are few and far between.
I suspect that nicer old mountings are usually re-set with a diamond/gemstone and sold.
You might watch for antique rings at such places as www.melsantiquejewelry.com , and hope to find one with an inexpensive centerstone you can replace with your diamond.
Otherwise, you''ll probably have to with a reproduction....
