I notice it doesnt have as good light performance as some of the 65% depths

table is 59%

This would depend on the how the rest of the angles play out on the cushion. It could be very nice or maybe not so. Do you have a picture of the cushion?

Have you seen this diamond in person? That is the best way to evaluate a cushion, if not you will need detailed photos and preferably an ASET image if you can get one. Cushions can''t be judged by numbers they need to be seen, also look at the WHOLE picture and not just one factor.

Here is ASET info - https://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/forum.asp?forumID=32

I have seen the stone in person but only under white light - the jeweler didnt have a spot light. the center looked like it was missing some fire.

I will ask if I can get an ASET image

AZ why not give us a tiny bit more info?

You surely have more.
An ideal-scope image is all you need for a round diamond - but we do not even know that.
65% is way too deep for a round, and with a big (59%) table and a medium to thin girdle, that is not too shallow.

Sorry. It is a cushion cut stone, H/VS2, 3.00 ct. Table is 58% and depth is 59.4%. Medium culet with 8 pavilion facets.

One person I brought it to said it was ok and kind of on the border of acceptable depth. An other said depth for cushions should not be more than acceptable depth for rounds.

Also, is it normal to only evaluate under white light? One jeweler I went to didnt have a spot or LED light so i could get a feel for the fire and brilliance.
