Sparkles, I''ve tried this pendant on and really liked it. It''s nicely done - very classy looking.

How funny we have such similar tastes! I loved your pendant in person, I was trying to see what I could find one for just a little less money. The other one that was the next size down I thought was a little too small. The one she doesn''t wear is similar, just bigger. So I don''t know if she would wear it, it might hurt my dad''s feelings if she wears the one from me and not him, since they are so similar.

What else did you like (necklace wise) while you were there?

We do seem to have similar tastes and we probably shop at the same store. Too funny. I am attaching 2 pendants I have tried on many times but haven''t bought. I absolutely adore the sapphire but my DH didn''t like it on me or trust me I would own it. He thought it was kind of small on me but now that I''m 1/2 the size I used to be maybe I should look at it again.

The diamond pendant lost out to the heart pendant, I think I have seen it in the store in yellow gold. Both of these pendants are under $500. Since your mom wears a sapphire ring she might like that pendant.

I don't know how to attach more than one pic at a time:

One oval pink sapphire at approximately .36 carat TW is accented with two sparkling round diamonds at approximately .09 carat TW. The total gem weight is approximately .45 carat. The pendant hangs from an 18-inch box chain, also in 14 karat white gold.

Sparkles - I have seen both of those pendants and they are both very nice. I would certainly not turn down either one of them.

I bought a pink sapphire YG bracelet from Ice.com and it''s okay - not horrid but not great either.

I will probably stick to Shane Co since their quality is really good (better than in the mall) and I can see it in person before I get it. I might use Ice.com in the future, but I think for something this special I am going to want to see it first.

I was joking with my mom last night and I asked her what her favorite stone was (meaning gemstone) and she said diamond, LOL. So...I am leaning towards this one (in WG):

I think she did check the other store''s inventory

. I really like that pendant too. My mom likes YG, but she has been on such a WG kick for some time now (about 4 years or so). So she still has YG pieces, but doesn''t really wear them, except for a couple of rings. She has a WG necklace she wears everyday, so I think she tries to match that. Funny when I was growing up I remember I used to love sterling silver over YG and she would always go for the YG, then when I got older I figured out there was WG and fell in love with that, then platinum... I guess I kind of converted her, lol!

Try their online chat person. They found me a bracelet one time that was being phased out and wasn't online anymore.

ETA: I gave them to link to their YG bracelet and they were able to find the WG version for me.

That was a terrific suggestion!! Thank you!! Their online chat person did find it... they are super busy today, but I am working on the layaway for it. I want to put it on layaway since I won''t be giving it to her until May, and I want to make sure there is still some return window left just incase she doesn''t like it, but.... how could she not? Right?

I got my mom a pretty Tiffany & Co yellow gold chain and put one of their "floating heart" gemstones on it (Jade). My mom cried b/c she loved it so much, and I have a feeling it had less to do with the gift than it did with the sentiment. I am sure whatever you get her, she will love...

As a side note, my Mom does like the necklace She never takes it off except to shower....
