Oh heck yah to unemployment. I've been working since I was 14, if I need it I'm using it!

Apply as soon as allowed. First time DH did was easy. Second time, the employer messed up. Took more than 6 weeks to get first check.

Thanks all. Feeling a little more positive but plenty stressed out. I'm trying to look at this like an opportunity to break away from the jobs of the past and pursue something completely different. I haven't told my kids, it's just a matter of time until they start asking questions. I don't want them to worry

I don’t know how old your kids are, but they will take their cue from you. I like that as you’ve had some time to let this settle a bit, you see it as an opportunity. Go get ‘em Elliot!
