Solomon Brothers

When I search for diamonds using the search tool on Pricescope, I notice that Solomon Brothers often comes up as one of the vendors. As I have been searching over the last few months, I don''t remember them appearing until more recently. Can anyone tell me what their experience has been buying a loose diamond from Solomon Brothers?

Also, it seems like they frequently list a lower price for what appears to be the same diamond. Anyone else notice that or have experience with their prices being lower?

I think a few people have had bad experiences with them recently...but I can't remember who. Regardless they are not a preferred vendor on here...usually if a vendor has been around awhile and people don't buy from them there are reasons.

ETA: If you use the search button and search for solomon brothers you can see reviews from some not super happy/frustrated customers...

I remember seeing them come up lately and they were all bad reviews.

I believe the recommended vendors are White Flash and GoodoldGold for most shapes. Engagement Rings Direct for cushions.

Other well respected vendors include Pearlmans.

Others have dealt with James Allan and Blue Nile without complaints.

I would amend this to say that WF, GOG, ERD, Pearlman's, James Allen, Wink Jones @ Winfields are just a few of the many wonderful vendors here for stones. Each has a specialty, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from any of them. They are all good.
