I am not sure what you want to know but this is just what happened to me and hopefully it answers your question, if not just ask and I will try to answer it. I came to Pricescope and just started looking at all the vendors and their upgrade policy's and noticed diamonds were less expensive online than at the diamond store where I live.

I found a stone I liked but it was with a different vendor so I told WF (since I liked their upgrade policy) and they brought in the diamond. I knew what I wanted in a setting but my setting wasn't premade with too many vendors so I just started searching and found Solomon Brothers and they had a setting I liked. I was super nervous about sending my stone to be set with SB but decided to let them set it and it turned out great. I actually insured the ring and diamond before it was set just in case and of course it is still insured. eta: Siamese Kitty in that thread said her ring is from their too.

Pricescope is great because you can look for a stone and ask people about the stone you found or you can look yourself and use the HCA to weed out bad performing stones (only works for Round brilliants). This is what I used to ultimately find my stone https://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp I looked for a stone scoring between 0-2 and passed on the ones performing over 2. Not sure if that helps but I am happy to answer any other questions. I also have some studs that I used this tool to search for the stones and selected excellent excellent for the cut criteria https://www.pricescope.com/sift.aspx where the HCA is already done for me, kind of a short cut in your search.

Hi, I worked with Howard Solomon at Solomon Brothers for my diamond and my husband''s band and could not be more pleased with Howard. He goes out of his way to find what you want and will keep looking and bringing in diamonds until you''re happy. The price of the GIA diamond was the lowest compared to other Pricescope vendors for the exact same diamond as well. They also have a lifetime full value upgrade policy on diamonds. Good Luck!
