I have never seen that one before, it is really pretty! I like how the basket goes up almost all the way to the girdle.

I haven't seen his settings before, I will have to check them out. I can't wait to see your finished product!

I have been talking to Grace about settings for a while, since I am purchasing the OEC from her. I don't think I will be getting one of their settings, unfortunately, since I am not looking to get it set until August/September.

Ohhh! I like the one Skippy posted! So glad I live far far away from LA and Single Stone. How did I miss that you had a gorgeous rock to set? I bet this setting would look good with a french cut band I am so redundant. I think they look good with anything. But I really can't wait to see what you do with your OEC. Any pics of the stone?

I actually won't have the stone until July, which is why I have not been able to fully celebrate my excitement with a smtb thread. I was just overly excited and trying to figure out how to set it

And I definitely agree about single stone-that showroom could be dangerous.....I am actually thinking of flying out there is fall to look t settings and wedding bands

Before I stumbled on my current setting, I had priced plane tickets to LA. Was going to make a weekend of it. I figured it was worth the trip expense to go and play in their jewelry box for a while. I know they have to have SO many settings that aren't on the site. I will live vicariously through you if you go!

And the stone.... Whaaa?? Holy cow!! The extra months will let you have time do some curls to be able to hold that honker up. Its so pretty!

I agree, the trip is definitely worth while! If I go, I will definitely take lots of pictures. I decided to bump my budget back up to around 6k, so maaaaaaybe I can get a solitaire setting and a wedding band, or I can get an amazing stand alone, chunky ring.

Thanks for the complements on the diamond, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Yours is amazing too! I am really looking forward to seeing your finished ring....have you posted about the setting yet? Hope I haven't missed it!
