solitaire enhancers

Hi all! I have a beautiful solitaire ring--very simple with a one karat colorless diamond. I am really interested in getting a solitaire enhancer for it--I found one that looked amazing with my ring and was just about to take my fiance back to purchase it. But then his mom said she''s been asking around and they''re not that popular. I said, who cares? I don''t really care about everyone else. BUT my fiance is worried that maybe there is some serious reason for this. Does anyone know? I assume it''s just because people prefer a traditional band. My ring has the stone very high up and regular bands really didn''t look good next to it. I tried on some wraps but found myself wanting more bling ala the enhancers. So now I am all confused and thinking maybe I should just reset the damn thing and get a traditional ring and band. Any thoughts? Pros/cons of enhancers or anyone regret one decision or the other? Thanks for your help!

I think that they used to be more popular back in the 80''s and 90''s... That being said, WHO CARES? I know a few people with beautiful solitaires and gorgeous enhancers! Actually, my very good friend is going to do this for her ring. She has a .5 ct princess solitaire and she wants this enhancer. It looks great with her ring! She did say that she wants an additional thin diamond band so that it looks like she has an actual wedding band. It''s not a bad idea...

I guess I will just go back and look at new settings and at the enhancer again and then decide...having now spent some time looking at other settings online, there are just so many gorgeous options...

who cares about what is popular. It would be way too expensive to keep up with the trends, you'd need to get a ring like every few years...lol. Just get what you like. You have to live with it and see it everyday.

Time to time I wear one of my solitaires with diamond tiara type of ring on each side.... I know so 80''s

But I don''t care LOL
