Hello PriceScope Experts,

I was pretty ready to pull the trigger on a diamond but I came across this site where I've seen really useful expert advice. Would you offer some feedback and alternatives to what I'm considering?

My budget is $7K or below
>=1 carat
>= I color (1 grade lower ok)
>= SI clarity (1 grade lower ok)
with a priority on maximum brilliance and sparkle, as most people seem to indicate.

These are the closest options I've seen so far.

Regarding he 3D views on the Brian Gavin site, are the surface dark spots a concern? How about the green centers on the ASETs?

I'd appreciate all feedback and also if you know better choices that I should consider. Thanks!

The BGD H-colored stone above looks like a great choice.

Here are a couple more options. You might be able to get BGD to do a comparison of these stones, along with the H-colored stone, to determine which works best for you.

Either of these will be under budget, after Pricescope discount:

1.087ct, I, SI1 (verified eye-clean)

Thanks for the additional options RockyRacoon! And thanks for confirming the WF stone, Andelain!

They are very tough decisions, especially for the uninitiated. Now I'm undecided between the BG H/SI1 the BG Blue eye clean I/SI1 and the WF I/SI1.

Also, RockyRacoon, you indicated that BG has a Periscope price but I didn't see that when I clicked on your links. Any other way to access the special prices?

All you have to do is get in touch with BG (via chat, phone, or email) and they will be able to give you the specific pricing. It is not published anywhere on the website, but they'll know what you're taking about, if you reference Pricescope. I've dealt with Jamie there, and she does a great job of corresponding in a timely manner.

For Brian Gavin, the PS discount (2%) + Wire discount )(3%) is a total of 5% off the highest listed price. You can get either, none, or both.

If I were choosing among those diamonds, I'd pick the Brian Gavin 1.008 H SI1. H is safely white unless it's scrutinized next to an F or higher. I is borderline for many. For most, J is safely white only from the top.

If you stay with either a Whiteflash ACA or a Brian Gavin Signature you are getting the best top of the line diamond cut, and with either you will be getting a beautiful diamond.

Deciding on the color is a bit harder. The H to a I color once in your setting will be very hard to see any color difference, Make sure it is eye clean to your definition of what you want in an eye clean.
