SOLD Platinum Whiteflash Three Stone W-Prong Mount

I bought this gorgeous setting on DB not long ago with plans to set some stones I have. But I have decided to change directions with that project – I will be using larger side stones than the mount can accommodate. So I am offering it here for sale. I am only looking to recoup what I paid.

The setting is the W-Prong mount by Whiteflash. It is a delicate and well-crafted mount with lovely criss-cross detailing on the gallery. It fits a 5.9mm to 6.1mm round center stone (approximately 0.80ct), and 4mm round side stones (approximately 0.25ct). The ring is a size 5.5. It is in very good shape and was polished by its original owner prior to selling it to me. The prongs are is good shape, but require a little reshaping by your jeweler.

Do you think you could post a picture of this mount with a plain band if you have one? A top and side view? I want to get a better feel for it. Thanks!

Hi lewood!

Here are some photos I took of the mount paired with my 2mm platinum knife edge band. As you can see, the three-stone mounts sits almost perfectly flush with the plain band.

According to my digital calipers, the shank of the w-prong is 2.4mm wide nearest the baskets for the diamonds, tapering to 1.7m wide at the palm side. It is also 1.8mm think/tall nearest the baskets, and tapers to 1.5mm tall at the palm side. The shank is a standard comfort fit style. Once set, I estimate that the table of the center stone will rise about 6mm off the finger. In person it is a very delicate and fluid design, very well made.

I adore the style of the mount, but since I am looking to set OECs, would prefer larger side stones in a three stone to see the faceting better

I did not realize this when I bought the mount, unfortunately.
