Hi all,
we have all experienced of recent how rare (almost impossible!) it has become to find an OEC or transitional diamond in the second hand market without paying a massive premium or compromising on what we want.
Increasingly, attractive old cuts are becoming the realm of retailers such as GOG and JbEG.
With that in mind, here is your opportunity to purchase a beautifully cut half carat old diamond with fantastic specs
It has been independently valued as: 0.47ct, G VS2, measuring 4.95 x 5.10 x 3.0mm.
Personally, I would refer to it as a transitional cut; however others may consider it an OEC. I will let the pics do the talking.
The diamond is already set in an elegant and classic solitaire bezel pendant, the setting for which was hand made by a jeweller here in Perth.
The setting and chain are both 18kt yellow gold, with an 18kt white gold milgrained bezel around the diamond.
The chain is 45cm (17.7"), with a jump ring for adjustable sizing at 42cm (16.5").
I purchased the diamond loose and had it set myself, so if your intent is to un-set the diamond for a different purpose, I can confirm it is in perfect condition with no nicks to the girdle or other damage at all.
Please see below photos of both the loose diamond, which pulls in stunning colours from any environment, and also the diamond set into its current pendant home.
This item is currently up for sale on DB - don't miss out on a rare chance to buy a great old cut, increasingly a rare opportunity without paying a retail premium.
(the item will ship with a professional valuation certificate).
