This is my favorite ring I never wear. I parade it around the house, but in the couple of years I've owned it I've never worn it out or even re-sized it to my size. It's stunning and one of the most beautiful rings I've owned. I hope this one goes to a special pricescoper.
Metal: Platinum
Diamond: .44 carat antique cushion
Color: it's ungraded, but when purchased from the antique dealer he said it was an I. I feel like it's more like a J or a K since it's just a teeny tiny more warmth than a GIA I round-brilliant pendant I own. I would describe the color as white by itself, but you can see a bit of body color compared to lighter stones next to it.
Clarity: antique dealer I bought it from graded it as VS2, my estimate is SI2, but a pretty good one. It's very close to eye clean when held right up to my face, eye clean from a foot away. In the loup shot below you can see the grey/brown inclusion half-way inbetween the culet the top of the stone.
Size: currently a 6.5 and fully-sizeable. Keep in mind from the pictures that my ring size is 4.25, so it's going to look bigger on my hand than a true 6.5.
The ring has beautiful a french cut medium blue sapphire halo and beautifully-done milgrain detailing. The sapphires are a rich color that is perfect, not too dark and they sparkle. This ring is well-made and delicate, really stunning. The width of the shank is a little under 2mm towards the top of the ring and a little less at the bottom. It could probably use a little more metal at the bottom, which is an easy fix for a jeweler if desired. The ring is stamped with the carat weight of the stone on the inside of the band ".44".
Price is $1475 which includes shipping and insurance (no refunds). I accept paypal as payment from people in the US only.
I'm having trouble posting new listings on DB, but you can get in contact with me through this other listing of mine: http://diamondbistro.com/category/196/Rings/listings/28286/Danhov-ME30-Platinum-Mounting.html... Please let me know your pricescope screen name when you respond.
I hope this one goes to a great home. I've been having fun playing dress up with it, but it deserves to be worn.
