SOLD 8.35ct Columbian Emerald

Up for sale is a 8.35 Carat Colombian Emerald. This stone measures approximately 12mm x 11.5mm x 8.8mm emerald cut. This stone has never been set.

The stone is a beautiful mint to medium green. The stone has more of a green tone than the pictures show.

This is one of the first stones I ever purchased. Sad to see it go but I have other projects to finish!

I would grade the clarity at I1. I am not going to lie the cut is not the best particularly on the bottom of the stone. This would best be set as a pendant.

This stone was found to be a 100% natural columbian emerald by the Arizona Gemological Lab. This stone contains the signature 3 phase inclusion found only in columbian material.

This emerald does exhibit a tilt window depending on the point of view. How the stone is set may make this disappear. See pictures for a better idea.

This Emerald is not perfect but there is something special about it.

Great question, Thanks ANONYMOUS.

The stone was sold to me as having no treatment. But as with most Emeralds that I purchase I pretty much assume it has been oiled.

I have never had this verified by AGL. I have owned the stone for about 2 years and I have seen no sign of clarity reduction due to the oil drying out. So there is a chance that the stone has not been oiled.
