Hello,

Please provide your opinion on this solasfera...anything stick out to you? It seems fine to me except for the fluorescence and the fire...but it seems not many hit the very top for fire. I believe any inclusions are dead center of the diamond. Thank you in advance!

Fluor is preference, but I wouldn't be worried about the slightly "less than 100% excellent score in the fire" in a Solasfera man, aren't they cut to be more brilliant? That's gonna be one bright ass stone!

i just bought a 1 carat solasfera. you have nothing to worry about. they don't leak light and put off more fire and sparkle than just about any other diamond you will come across. Enjoy!

look no further than the GemEX. It completely pegs it out like no other cut of diamond does.

I think the Solasfera is the only cut that leaks 0% of light. That means all that fire and sparkle will be reflected to be visible where as just about every other diamond will lose some of that brilliance due to light leakage.

I compared my solasfera to a leo and other ideal H&A stones before I bought mine and it performed the best in a variety of lighting, hands down

BTW: Isn't the fire trace just a prediction of the stone's performance? Unlike the GemEx that actually measures visible performance? My fire trace looked just like yours and it has tons of fire

It'll be very bright and sparkly - exactly as any Solasfera is cut to be. Proportions + extra facets + not gigantic stone = lots of white light return and bit less coloured light return through a variety of lighting types compared to other rounds with different number of facets and different proportions - that's just the nature of the beast, can't have everything at once. It'll be a very pretty stone, no worries there.

If you are concerned you may not love it IRL you can always go visit GOG if you're local, or have the stone shipped out if you're not and take it to a local jeweller to compare w/ some regular 57facet RBs, see what you think. Always best to see the stone in-person before having it set.

Thank you for your opinions. Is there anything to be worried about when it comes to the inclusions and their locations on the diamond?

No amigo. That's a VS1, you are 100% fine. You could go to an SI1 and not worry

I own a Solasfera and LOVE it, a real fireball!!!
I also own an ACA of the same weight and similar color and clarity and will say they both have equally-fine light performance, a different look but both exquisite!

There are two other cuts I know of that also have 100% light return and not a spec of "contrast leakage" the Eightstar and the now-discontinued ACA new line.
IIRC those two diamonds achieve solid red IS images by painting and digging (changing the angle of the facets next to the girdle, whereas the Solasfera achieves it by having 10 sections instead of only 8.

Congratulations on the ring and diamond.
Looks fantastic!
