*Inspired by the pay to pee thread*

You''re at the movies, in the cinema watching a film and you need to pee. Are you the kind of person who refuses to miss any of the film, that squirms in their seat desperatly willing the film to end so you can run to the toilets, or are you the peson who shuffles past everyone to use the loo because the need to pee will always outweigh the importance of the movie plot? Are their varriables to the desision? Like the amount of beverage consumed, how good the movie is, the amount of people you will need to shuffle past and how long till the end of the film?

This is why I always sit at the very top on the end

and because nobody can kick my seat

I try to wait it out, but I always sit at the end of the row :)

During Phantom Menace, I needed to go really, really, REALLY badly. I toughed it out because I am a SW junkie. I toughed it out through the ridiculous trade politic stuff. The boring race. The trading of the kid. The grossness of knowing the girl is going to end up with this boy. Jar Jar. "Yeah, I knew you were the queen" scene.

Finally I couldn't take it anymore. I was in pain, couldn't sit straight, and the movie just. won't. end. I left for the restroom which was right next to our theater. While I was still in there, I heard from the theater "NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo!!!".
I had missed Qui-Gon's death, and that was Obi Wan's scream.

Since then, I maniacally MUST go to the rest room within 10 minutes of the starting time. No more. If I had gone to the restroom 20 minutes ahead of time, I MUST go again 10 minutes before. I also refuse to take a single drop of drink during. DH thinks I'm insane.

Haha.. I wait it out.

When Romeo & Juliet came out I had to pee sooooo bad at the end. I was saying, "JUST DIE ALREADY!!" lol

A few years ago when Hancock was in theaters I got sick and had to RUN to the bathrooms before I started puking. Never happened to me before and I was sooooo embarrassed. I hate getting up and missing anything though... hate hate. If it''s a long movie (3 hrs?) I pee before the movie starts, and then I''m usually good.

Ok. lots of pee talk.

I would wait. I wouldn''t want to miss the movie nor disturb people.

No movie is too important to justify wetting your pants. Even before I was pregnant I was the person who got up at least once to pee. I have this problem on airplanes too...

I''ll try to tough it out so I don''t miss any of the movie, definitely. And we always stop at the bathroom before a movie (mostly because DH won''t make it through the movie otherwise)

People think that DH and I are fuddy duddies because we never go to movies for that reason. We wait until it comes out on DVD and then we get it from Redbox so we can get snacks, drinks and pee when we want. Just pause, do what you have to do and come back. Plus with the rising costs of actually going to the theatre we cant find a reason to actually go.

In the event that we venture to the theatre for something we feel just wouldnt be the same if not on the "big screen" I would most def. get up and go. We get there early and pick the seats that have an easy escape plan. If you go to the movies always use the buddy system, when you come back you can quietly ask what was missed.

I always sit on the end so I don''t have to worry about shuffling past people. I also feel somewhat panicky if I''m "caught/stuck" in the middle of a row with no easy "escape" route. I make sure to go before the previews start, so using the bathroom in the middle of a movie isn''t usually an issue.

I also try to wait it out...not because I can''t bear to miss any of the movie, but more b/c I hate to bother people and shuffle through (annoying!).

When preggo I had less ability to wait so would go before to be sure I started out w/an empty bladder--or I''d sit at the end.

This is one of the many reasons I never see movies in the theater.

I will wait as long as possible and then run out when it seems like a decent time. It hasn''t messed me up too badly yet.

I''m bad on airplanes. I try not to consume too many liquids if I''m not in an aisle seat. I hate crawling over people. Just this week though, I waited too long and they started approach and I couldn''t get up. As soon as we landed, I RAN for the restroom. Wasn''t going to wait thru people pushing to get off.

That''s why I never get anything to drink at the movies! FI always thought it was weird that I would get snacks but never anything to drink but I hate getting up!

And of course when I do get up I usually miss the most important part of the movie. That''s like when you''ve never been absent in school and decide to miss one day and 90% of the exam is on that one lesson

I''ve learned to go like 5 minutes before the movie and make sure I don''t drink too much liquids before or during. However, I am the type that a lot of the times I just HAVE to go during the movie. I HATE when that happens. Usually it''s at a crucial point, but I''ll try to guage that moment.

I can get downright ridiculous trying to pee before a movie/show. One time in Vegas, I literally made sure I peed like 5 times before the show started! The ushers recognized me without me having to show my ticket each time.

I ALWAYS go right before the movie starts, and then I try to wait it out. I think if I didn''t go right before and REALLY had to go, I''d get up and go rather than suffer it out.

I try to go before the movie starts, because I hate getting up and missing any part of the movie. I rarely see any movies that are more than an hour and 45 minutes long anyway though, so usually I can just wait till the end.

I''m like this on airplanes too - I try to never use airplane bathrooms. 10 hour flight to Hawaii and didn''t go once. Same thing on a 12 hour flight to Israel. I did rush off the plane once we landed to find an airport restroom though!

If I *really really* have to go, I''ll force myself to just suck it up and go, but I try to avoid it if at all possible.

I''ve never made it through a movie w/out having to go to the restroom once. Being in the center makes me clausterphobic so dh and I always sit at the end and getting up isn''t a big deal. No climbing over people, seats, ect.

Once when the kids were at grandma''s, my husband and I had a couple beers each before the movie and then I also drank a large bottle of water and I cannot recall the movie, but it was one that was over two hours long, and I kept having to get up.

I always sit in the last row and on the aisle (if possible) and I always go right before the movie starts. So usually I can make it through and then I leave when the credits start rolling to get to the restroom before a line starts.

Movies aren''t usually a big deal to get through regarding using the restroom. However, it''s Broadway shows that are a real PITA. I always dehydrate myself purposefully when it comes to going to shows. My dh thinks I am crazy. But I hate having to use the restroom at a show. Usually I go right before it starts and during intermission it''s tough as I am sure anyone who goes to shows knows. The line for the women''s restroom is nuts! Another reason I always try to buy aisle tickets for shows. Honestly, it takes away from the excitement of going to shows. They should really build bigger restrooms to accommodate more people. It is not acceptable to have such long lines. And 10-20 min intermissions isn''t long enough for those huge lines.

I used to be firmly in the "I''m got getting up to go to the loo unless my bladder is actually exploding" camp. I have sat through movies in near excrutiating pain, hovering above the theater seat to try and streighten myself out to put less pressure on my bladder while I silently pray for the movie to end. But for some reason, I can''t do it anymore- if I get slightly uncomfortable, I''m off and eff the movie. It helps that the newer cinemas have really big gaps between the rows of seats so theres no pushing or shuffling past, you just walk past quickly and try not to trip over anyones handbag, so disturbing other pople is less of a worry.

I''m one of those people where if you say I can''t go pee, I will have to pee about 5 times an hour. Therefore, I don''t hesitate to get up in the movies.. Then again, I don''t go to the movies that often or if I do it''s to a studio movie grill type place where there are wide aisles and everything and you don''t have to crawl all over everyone to get out!
