I really love the Harry Winston inspired LOGR that I just got for my mint garnet. I think he could make it in a cushion for your stone's dimensions. My stone is 1.82 carats. It's this one.

At least it's not "put it in a Legacy," although that is a very popular setting style for him.

I like Litnon's stuff, I got a couple of tiny stones there, one of which is a tiny 4 x 6 demantoid, just to see what a demantoid looks like in RL. It was only $25, so it was a bargain. No idea what I'll do with the tiny smidge, but it's cute. Probably a little silver ring for one of the kids in the family.

Point is, they have some good stuff at Litnon, and a lot of their stuff is cut by Dana at Mastercut, so that's another plus.

Love your tourmaline, that's a great color.

You know, last night I actually was considering a legacy I do really like that setting TL, I love what it did for your beautiful stone.


ilander, Litnon's is one of my guilty secret sites. I sometimes check out Micheals treasure during meetings Prices are so super reasonable for what you get too.

I was strangely enough considering pink gold But I'll wait to see it befre I make that decision.

thanks crasru. I do gem shopping with my gut sometimes. So basically as long as I'm not going eat peanut butter and crackers for a month after buying a gem, I'm good if all else falls in place. Can't say thats the best method to go buy though

Thanks Freke. Considering the not so luck I've had in spinels lately (though I do have a red one I've not taken picks of )I went back to tried and true. In August I'll start looking at emeralds. That going to be a fiasco!

I agree, white gold legacy would look really nice with an 18k/diamond upgrade. But I love halos and they are not for everyone I know!

Thanks Arcadian for the kind words on my setting.

If the stone has any peach in it, I would probably hesitate before doing rose gold because it might fade into the setting, and not pop. For this stone, I might just stick with white gold.

See what it looks like when you have it first, and evaluate it in different lighting before you settle on a metal color.

Looks very pretty in the vendor’s picture. Have you placed it next to white/yellow/rose metal yet to see which colour is best suited? Does the tourmaline “hold” its colour both indoors and outdoors?

Chrono, I just got it today. Mmmmm...yeah it changes colors a little but not to anything I don't like. I'm going to post a few pictures in a few.

It does have some purple in there, but also too, its reflecting the camera. There's nothing dark about this stone at all.

Against bright bright pink, you can see the purple/lavendar. Otherwise you don't see it.

The inside pictures show a totally different side of this stone. BTW, I'm wearing green which is not reflecting in the stone at all I like how it shifts colors though
