Received my WF e-ring and matching band after two returns. This one turned out to be my dream set!

The center ACA stone, which is a 0.85 ct RB, looks bigger than my previous 0.8 (also ACA), although I have no chance to compare them side by side. Maybe the personality of this stone fits me better. I think it''s more beautiful than the previous one. It sparkles like crazy with a lot of colored fires!

I chose the Petite Open Catheral matching set, and they look perfect on my finger! The two returns I made before were due to the workmanship of setting. I am a perfectionist and always find minor flaws that other people wouldn''t notice.

There is something interesting. When comparing my 0.85 stone with a 1.01 ct in local store, I couldn''t tell the difference in size.

They were both on my finger side by side, and mine looked even a little bit bigger. Can you believe it? Even the salesman was not able to tell the difference. He thought my stone was 1ct before I told him. How could it be? The table % of my stone is 57.4. Is that what makes it look as big as a 1ct?

so glad you got it perfect...pics???

Just speculating here, it could be the diamond you saw in the store was deep like a peg, lots of the weight was around the bottom of the stone where you can't see it. Add to that steep deep angles and a thick girdle and you will end up with a 1 carat which looks considerably smaller.

Your diamond being a top cut has excellent proportions and will be throwing out light from edge to edge so every last MM will be active, this also makes the best of a diamond's size.

See this link for a comparison between a well cut .84 and poorly cut 1 carat for size, check out the photo top right!

Will post pics next week after I get them resized to under 100kb.
