I burned through my jewelry budget by getting an eternity band and setting some stones into a three stone and then buying a spinel ( the spinel of my dreams) so now after I set it it''ll be a long time before I can afford a tsav.

Specs: Spinel 1.71 ct oval 8.5x6.5, eyeclean, and Eric told me it has the the "glow"

Tsav: 2.01 ct 7.5x7.5 sugarloaf, Eric said the color is better in person

I know, I have been watching it forever. When it first came up, I had already bought my spess which was my major gemstone purchase for the year. Than for a long time it was "reserved" and I remember being disappointed but not surprised. Than last week I realized it was no longer "reserved" and it is a new year, so I inquired about it. I am setting my spess in Apr (I am going to Houston and so I thought I would visit Brian Gavin and see what he could do with it), so it might be awhile before I set this one, but I figure if I have been eyeing a gemstone for >6 months, it must be something I really want.

My little burmese spinel is an oval too, so I thought it would be fun to make matching set with them.
