Do you ever venture into LIW or BWW? Doesn''t it seem like a lifetime ago we were getting engaged, ladies??

i confess I do sometimes :) not often (once every couple of weeks or so), but I find it sweet experiencing all those "first moment excitements" with the ladies all over there :) makes me remember what it was like ages ago :D

Rarely to never. It feels like decades ago!

haha, I go through cycles. I still check LIW quite often, especially since that''s how it''s saved in my favorites (from when I first joined). It''s also still fairly entertaining and I can offer some "advice" here and there. Also fun to hear engagement stories sometimes.

once in a blue moon I''ll look at BWW, but so rarely..I obviously do not miss wedding planning or have any real expertise! But sometimes willl peek at a dress or photo.

I am most often here and then DH, I''m never in the jewelry ones..isn''t that ironic?

I go over about the same...scan once a week or two, and write once in awhile.

I still remember so many PSer engagement stresses like it was yesterday. I remember Mandy and engagement chicken. Blen and her e-ring (because it was gold and stood out to me) Ginger''s wedding photos and Leon ring. Tacori asking us which wedding photo should go on some sort of card (I remember the photo I liked.)

Could it be that this was all now YEARS ago?

I never did venture to those threads b/c i found PS after being engaged, but i have to say the only threads i check/read/comment on in a weekly or daily basis are in FHH !
I don''t even look at the diamond stuff anymore (but will again someday !!!)

and yes Tgal. The wedding planning/engagement does seem like a lifetime ago. I remember when it was all consuming & i thought it was the most important thing in the world

Haha, I remember the LIW thread drama back then too--was it just more crazy then or am I sounding like an old alum going back to college saying it was different in our day.

I remember Mandy (she was my LIW-itus twin), that crazy Becky stuff, dixie, dawn74. I once looked back at my first posts..I was so crazed hassling DH with talks. Now I''m much more mature

Wow, dixie, I remember her. Wonder what happened to her...

Becky is the stuff of PS legend now, I think. Hers has to be the most memorable LIW story ever.

I think it sounds more crazy now...but if I were to really think about it, I would say it''s pretty much the same stuff. A LIWs angst is then, now, and forever about the same feelings of longing and impatience.

I don''t remember. I just remember the pic with the bouquet and you kissing your DH. Did you pick that one?

I NEVER go over there now! I wasn't a LIW because I joined after I got engaged even though I lurked while I was researching diamonds and engagement rings. I actually got my veil from someone on BWW whose name escapes me but she had exactly what I was looking for and wanted to get rid of it for free after her wedding! Back in the days of PMs, we could exchange all that personal info so I think all I did was send her like $4 for shipping and she mailed it to me and I used it!! I never posted that much because I didn't have any serious drama and my situation as a NYC bride was so different from everyone else's. I definitely remember all of Tacori's planning, gingerb's amazing ring, dress and photos and I loved Deco's wedding! TGal, your guest book will go down in history as well as your super fun, boozy wedding photos!! So many fun and kooky memories, I can't remember all of them. I used to pop over to read about the dramz over there but literally haven't checked those areas in months.

TGal, yep, that was the one! My grandma was offended and threw it away. Haha. Can''t please everyone.

Hahaha, the "visitor''s" book. Not sure if I ever told you gals, but LONG after the fact (a couple of years maybe?) I showed TGuy the thread. We were both in tears laughing. He STILL couldn''t see what was really wrong with it. God, it was so ugly, and part of me was a tad mortified on my wedding day when I saw it on the table with all the other WHITE, beachy stuff. It really was a good lesson in letting the small things go. Now it is my favorite memento from my wedding. I pulled it out to box up when we moved last fall and I just started cracking up all over again when I saw it. It''s really beyond repulsive in person and totally fit for a funeral home.

Hahaha, really? I loved that pic...that is so funny.

Rarely. I check FHH regularly. Hangout and SMTR if I am bored. LIW and BWW very rarely. It seems like a very long time ago! Can't believe DH and I will be celebrating 4 years this year! I think a lot of us are celebrating 4 years this year.

Yes, 4 years for me this year too.

Never! Now I barely make it into Hangout! The PS mommies here are my only "Mom" group, and where I turn to for help, it's very comfortable for me, but I was more a LIW, took a bit of a lurk in BWW, then when TTC I spent all my time there. I can't believe this is my (almost) 5th year on PS. CRAP.

I wander over to LIW and BWW once in a while.

CS and FFH most days.

I joined a few months after I got engaged so never really participated much on those threads, but I remember your wedding and especially your beach pics very clearly! (I still laugh when I remember your expression when you had that drink (can''t recall what it was)) AND I remember how you received your wedding dress!

and I remember Ginger''s wedding and pictures..man that was one elegant and stunning wedding!!!

I honestly can''t believe its been so many years..I mean you''re a mommy now to a gorgeous little girl...
30.gif
and it just feels like yesterday!

Occasionally - but hardly! Funny - first I used to frequent LIW, then BIW, and now all I do is hang out in ''Family and HOme'', and ''Diamond Hangout''.

It''s great that PS is relevant for different stages, though.

haha! I never do...I have a hard time keeping up with the newborn thread! SO I stay in the family & home forum pretty much all the time...

Oh my....the LIW days. Making engagement chicken!...good times, good times! hehe

ETA: maybe if I go lurk and read my old posts I'll realize I was a little nutso...and I am standing behind what I tell my husband: that I was perfectly fine waiting for the right time and he's the crazy one to say I was impatient
3.gif

I rarely do...

It wasn''t that long ago that I was a LIW....I got engaged and then three months later found out I was pregnant...it all happened so fast last year! But it sure feels like forever ago!

omg. i was part of the original LIW when LIW was a single thread rather that a forum! occ i wander over and check out dresses and wedding pics when i have free time (ha!) but mainly i''m on family h & h and occ dh. haven''t seen any jewelry in a while.

i''m so touched that some of ya''ll still remember my wedding! let alone my ring! i also remember tacori''s gorgeous blue and violet wedding and choosing a pic. and Tgal''s "visitor book" hilarity and the awesome relaxed baechy wedding. and mandy''s GORGEOUS flamenco-ish dress.

wow that means i''ve been on ps for about 7 years?! amazing how ps has just grown along with my life. i thought i was done with ps until i got preggo and peeked in on the preggo thread. totally got sucked back in to ps life. and lovin'' it. dodn''t know what i''d do without you ladies

I do! (Pardon the pun...)

They interest me - US engagements and weddings are just so different to anything I''ve seen in real life, so I''m curious. Different cultures and value sets.

I also love to see the pics of gorgeous, glamorous weddings and happy people. It''s fun to browse when I have time, there''s a nice vibe there.

I never went into LIW much as I joined ps after I was engaged. I faithfully read BWW for about a half a year after I got married, and I still go back now when I have time to at least look at all the wedding pictures!

Maybe once in a blue moon, and it makes me feel like and old crone and wise as can be all at the same time.

It sure makes me happy to be married and in a nice stable comfortbale relationship though! I am not much one for the drama and the passion.

Yes, 4 years for me this year too.
Three for us this year! Seems like a blink of an eye.

Tgal--you were about to get married when i started reading BWW, cuz i remember the visitor book well too
9.gif
and you always stood out to me b/c of your avi and name ( i was traveling a fair bit then too)
oh and i always waited for your "travel quote of the week" to change. Don''t think it has in in the past 5 years, has it? haha

nah, one week I decided, I like this quote...going to keep it for eternity!!

Very rarely. It seems like ages have past! I''d actually managed to forget my e-ring drama, and it seemed like such a big deal at the time. I definitely remember the visitor''s book though.

Mandy - I have a feeling that I was a little bit nutso when I first joined too. Perhaps still am.
