I almost feel ridiculous posting this email, but I''m fretting so much over my e-ring, which my bf and I have been searching for and have finally found (I think). I''ve changed my ideas about what I like and what I want a million times. The only thing that hasn''t changed is that I''m getting the same oval stone (no halo!!). The thought of getting a ring with the intention of eventually upgrading doesn''t appeal to me, so I''m trying to make a "forever" decision with this ring right now.
What''s the problem then? The last time my bf and I went to "visit" my diamond on Sat., we decided we liked it in the flush fit precision halo setting. We loved it, but the ring was set with a rb, and not an oval, so now I''ve been second guessing and hesitating and basically driving myself totally crazy. The stone is over 2 cts, so it''s not like the ring is too small without the halo, but for some reason we were drawn to it. So my decision-- the one that keeps me up at night is: Solitaire with claw prongs-- or (thin) pave halo? Oh good g-d ladies. I don''t know what to do! I''ve read all about peoples'' concerns about the halo having a limited lifespan, and my style is conservative and classic. I know it comes down to what I like, but isn''t there some formula for picking the perfect ring? Help/suggestions/drinks appreciated!
