He is moving to the DC area, which is 4 1/2 hours away from where we currently live. I am sad that we will have to be long-distance for a while, but him not having a job was the one thing that was stopping us from getting engaged. I am expecting a proposal by the end of the year or early next year. :appl:

I am planning on moving there to be with him after we are engaged. I'm just hoping I won't have too much trouble finding a job. :errrr:

While long distance is certainly difficult, just remember that it will be a relatively short period of time (months)!! it'll come and go before you know it!

Yes, this is very true. in these short months you are apart you can focus on you: hobbies, working out, your job, spending lots of time with family and friends you are leaving behind...
