My boyfriend wants me to pick out my own engagement ring, which, believe me, I''m happy about, but I can''t make up my mind about ANYTHING! Does anyone else have this problem?

I know I want something simple and classic - but every time I think I''ve found "the" setting I want, I find something else I like better. To make it worse, he and I went ring shopping last weekend and picked out a setting we both loved and I''m pretty sure when I went into the next store to look at shampoo, he "went to make a phone call" and bought it. Not that I don''t still love it, but in the meantime I''ve seen 4 other settings that I love too!

Please tell me this passes! I just don''t want to regret any choices I make - but it''s hard when I keep second-guessing myself and worrying if tomorrow I will find "the one."

It passes, I promise! I went through a few settings that were "the one" until I found the one we ultimately purchased. Basically, the more I saw (and seeing in-person is important), the better able I was to narrow down.

I agree. Just keep looking and trying them on. You''ll know when you really find "the one".

I''m no help, I like every type of setting there is. When I think there''s one I don''t like, I just have to keep looking at that style and eventually I fall in love with it. I don''t know how I managed to commit to one man, I have such a hard time committing to one setting.

One solution is maybe to wear the stone in a temp setting while searching for ''the one''. That''s what I''m doing. Takes the pressure off. Although if it''s an engagement ring, you probably want that puppy finalised!

Trying them on is very important though. Styles look so different on the hand to on the screen.

Good luck!

I''m indecisive too. I kept going back and forth over which diamond shape to get... I wanted an Asscher but thought I might miss the round brilliant type of sparkle but I didn''t want a round I wanted something uncommon so yeah, maybe I should get the Asscher because I wanted square but not princess and maybe Jubilee but then they weren''t available... this is how I was obsessing and driving my FF crazy lol.

Now I decided on a diamond and am VERY happy with my decision. BUT... now I have to decide on a setting. I thought I finally made up my mind... several times lol. At LEAST I''m down to like 3 or so designers with a few different style options now. UGH. So yeah, you aren''t the only one! And I''m sure I will know when I truly decide on a setting like I knew when I decided on my diamond. Good luck on your decision making

If you loved it when you saw it, it may simply be that it''s hard to recall the exact feeling when it''s not with you. If you can''t directly compare it to the three or four that you have fallen in love with since, that certainly makes it harder to be sure. Just remember that you loved it when you and he saw it. That feeling means that you will at least think it''s beautiful if he presents it to you with a proposal.
